Other stuff was happening in the dream, but the main part was that two of his friends came into the room, he queried me twice on why one particular friend was there (these are completely fictional friends, never met his two real friends and the names did not match anyway). I lay on the bed (in real life I have a thing about personal hygiene and worried excessively about my won smell) and he came up behind me to kiss me then said I was a bit ripe, so he went to go run a bath for me (he always ran baths for me in real life, not coz I stunk). As we were naked in the bathroom waiting for the water to fill up, we were dancing back to back (we were ALWAYS dancing, all the time, every opportunity we got, we'd be all up on each other dancing). I didn't see his face in the dream, it's like I never looked at him directly, but I know the shape of him, the feel of his presence
This dream seems to be rich with symbolism and could offer several insights into your subconscious thoughts and feelings. Let's break it down into its various components:
Imaginary Friends: The appearance of fictional friends may symbolize unknown aspects or desires within yourself or in someone close to you. The fact that you were questioned about one friend's presence twice might indicate a feeling of curiosity or apprehension about some aspect of your life or relationships. It might relate to a current situation where you feel uncertain about someone's intentions or role in your life.
Personal Hygiene: Your concern with personal hygiene and the commentary on being "a bit ripe" touches on themes of self-consciousness and vulnerability. Dreams often amplify our insecurities or sensitivity regarding how we appear to others. In this context, it suggests a need for validation and reassurance in your relationship or from those around you.
Partner Running a Bath: Your partner running a bath for you is a nurturing act, highlighting themes of care, intimacy, and perhaps a desire to cleanse or renew a certain aspect of your life. This aligns with the dynamic of care that existed in your real-life relationship and suggests a longing for such care and tenderness.
Dancing Back to Back: Dancing signifies joy, connection, harmony, and often a deep emotional or spiritual connection. Dancing back to back with your partner, especially while being naked, suggests a sense of mutual trust, vulnerability, and natural compatibility. It represents the intimate bond you shared or wish to share, where comfort with each other is paramount, regardless of circumstances.
Not Seeing His Face: Not directly seeing his face in the dream but being aware of his presence and shape may symbolize familiarity, emotional depth, and an instinctual understanding of your partner. It might suggest that even without seeing him, you feel deeply connected beyond physical appearances. It can also symbolize feelings of timelessness or the idea that true love need not be always visually acknowledged to be felt.
Overall, this dream seems to convey themes of intimacy, vulnerability, and a deep emotional connection. It highlights aspects of personal insecurities, the longing for care and authenticity in relationships, and the timeless nature of love that transcends physical presence. It may serve as a reminder of the significant emotional bonds that provide support and comfort in your life.
